Midway Sewer Trunk Line Extension Project was completed in 2008 for the City of Caldwell Engineering Department. The project team assisted the City’s Engineering Department with the route selection and design of approximately 6,500 lf of sewer trunk main along the Wilson Drain Corridor, 2,200 LF of sewer trunk main along Homedale road, and 1,000 LF of sewer trunk main along Karcher Road. The project consisted of 10”-18” diameter sewer pipe.
Project tasks were divided into three categories. Category One represented the Topographic and route survey of the project area. Category Two represented the route selection from the existing connection point to the serve area boundaries. The route selection process included the evaluation of the most cost effective method of crossing the Lowline Canal and the Wilson Creek Drain with the proposed sewer. Category Three included preparing plans, profile and specification for the constructed improvements.
The project team also assisted with the permitting, construction administration and construction staking serves.
The New Midway sewer project opened the way for the development of several new large subdivision project and increased the sewer level of service area for the City.
